You want a home inspector with years of crime scene investigation experience.
Whether you are buying a newly built or older home, we provide a thorough and efficient inspection. We pride ourselves in our exceptional communication and reporting.
Your home can be invaded by water in many different ways, causing mold to grow in the most unlikely locations and water damage to your home. We use a combination of investigative techniques and advanced technology to find potential water damage in your home.
We use effective means to find potential mold in the air and surface of your home. We also conduct different testing methods to confirm potential mold.
The air you breathe in your home is very important to your health. Poor air quality can cause chronic health issues for you and your family. We used advanced technology to test the air quality in many places throughout your home.
The water you used to drink, brush your teeth, and take a shower with could have toxins which could cause potential health issues. Bacteria, pesticides, heavy metals, and radon can still be in well or city water even with basic filters in place.
The US has radioactivity everywhere, from radon gas in your basement to radium in the old toy your grandparents gave you. Natural radioactive materials are still found in the ground below us. We use cutting edge equipment to detect if you are being exposed to these health hazards in your home.
Our inspector, Paul, has years of crime scene investigations experience as a former law enforcement officer and takes that same crime scene process and applies it to home inspections. This yields more detail and better results. Before being a police officer with the Hardwick Police Department, Paul was a Realtor with Jim Campbell Real Estate in Newport, Vermont. This, in addition to over 8 years of handyman experience, Paul has the combined experience that a professional home inspector needs.
We provide comprehensive reports that include photos and detailed descriptions of any issues found during the inspection. Our reports are easy to read and understand. Our inspections typically take approx. 2-3 hours and are complete inspections of home components such as roofing, foundation, decks, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, well/septic, flooring, walls, and ceiling. Our inspections are based on $0.16 a square foot with a $250 minimum. There are addons to the standard inspection such as radon testing, and mold testing. Those addons cost an additional $125 each. Once we have completed the inspection, provided there are no add ons that require additional time, you will receive your written inspection report with photos within 24 hours via email.
We stay in constant communication with our customers until the job is done. To get a free quote, or if you have questions or special requests, just drop us a line.
